January 2018-June 2018
3.5.3 During postulancy, members will review the Rule of Life, meet with a Spiritual Director, and continue to discern one's desire for membership within The Order of Sustainable Faith. Additionally, a postulant will form a Discerning Community (see § 5.6.5).
Our second Postulancy Cohort will launch in January 2018. For the first 18-months of the founding of The Order, those entering Postulancy have journeyed through the process, largely unaccompanied. This past year we piloted a Postulancy Cohort in order to create more community and connection through the Postulancy process. In the Postulancy Cohort, you'll journey alongside others who are discerning their membership and involvement in The Order of Sustainable Faith.
The Commitments for the Postulancy Cohort are as follows:
Bi-monthly online chapter meetings.
We'll meet for 1 hour (roughly) twice a month to touch base and connect to the work of discernment and movement through the postulancy period. There will be a total of 12 meetings over the 6-month postulancy. Participation in 10 meetings is required. Dates are posted to the right. All meetings will be online from 7pm-8pm EST.

Monthly meeting with a Spiritual Director.
You'll meet monthly with a Spiritual Director. We're happy to pair you with a spiritual director in our network. Your monthly meeting with your spiritual director is at the core of your discernment process. You're process of discernment toward The Order of Sustainable Faith will pay particular attention to the invitation you feel toward the particular commitments found in the Rule of Life and the questions posed throughout.
Regular review and prayer through Invitations & Commitments
Each Monday, we'll post questions and reflections to guide your week, your prayers, and your conversation with your spiritual director, and ultimately, your discerning community. These questions and reflections will form most of the content of our bi-monthly chapter meetings. The main question during postulancy is:
Do I want to orient my life, alongside others, around a particular set of shared commitments, in service and submission to the mission of God? .
Monthly financial membership in support of our commitment to a shared economy.
$60 Monthly Dues
Our commitment to a shared economy begins in postulancy. These monthly dues allow us to provide spiritual direction to you during postulancy and journey alongside of you more directly. The Order of Sustainable Faith does not profit through your postulancy process.
If $60/month doesn't feel sacrificial, we encourage you to give more.
If $60/month isn't possible for you, we encourage you to give less.
Deadline for registration is September 1 2017
